Umami was created to answer the main challenge of the food industry: produce food that tastes great with less resources. We developed our proper solution based on aquaponics, able to grow simultaneously greens, fruits, animal and plant-based protein and much more. We already deliver over 1.2 M CHF in yearly revenues by selling microgreens mostly through Migros and Coop. This while using no fertilizers, 89% less space, 90% less water and emitting 60% less CO2 than standard Swiss greenhouses.
